Todi (PG), 19 Novembre 2024 - ELES S.p.A., PMI innovativa quotata all'Euronext Growth Milan e fornitore a livello mondiale di soluzioni per il test di dispositivi a semiconduttore (circuiti integrati IC) con applica- zioni Safety e Mission Critical, è lieta di annunciare il supporto al prestigioso Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS con sede a Chemnitz, in Germania, con un sistema di test ARThp. Questa collaborazione rappresenta un passo significativo nel nostro impegno per l'innovazione e l'eccellenza nel settore.

Attualmente, le prove di qualifica e affidabilità dei dispositivi a semiconduttore impiegano un approccio tradizionale, basato su standard di test e modelli di degrado che risultano limitati sia nella copertura dei test sia nelle lunghe tempistiche necessarie per la qualifica. In risposta a queste sfide, ELES Spa, dal 2015 ha intrapreso un nuovo approccio metodologico denominato RETE (Reliability Embedded Test Enginee- ring).

Fraunhofer ENAS è considerato un fornitore olistico di servizi per la ricerca e lo sviluppo nel settore dell'affidabilità e del test dei dispositivi a semiconduttore. L'istituto garantisce un supporto, ad esempio basato su algoritmi di Machine Learning (ML) e Intelligenza Artificiale (AI), che spazia dalla progettazione, modellazione e simulazione di circuiti integrati fino allo sviluppo di metodi di test e alle previsioni di fine vita.

Entrambi i partner intendono mettere in comune le possibili sinergie sulla base di un'intensa collabora- zione futura, al fine di innovare il processo di produzione dei semiconduttori con una tabella di marcia in grado di soddisfare la domanda di chip per semiconduttori nelle varie famiglie tecnologiche.

In questo contesto, si sta realizzando l'idea di istituire a Chemnitz un centro unico Europeo per i test e la verifica dell'affidabilità, che incorpori l'approccio RETE.

L'Evoluzione della metodologia RETE, attinge a dati di stress e test elaborati sulle piattaforme ELES, com- binati con potenti algoritmi predittivi sviluppati in partnership con il Fraunhofer ENAS.

Questo approccio innovativo consente un'analisi dei guasti più precisa e rapida, in relazione a eventi di guasto con modalità e meccanismi noti durante le prove.

L'installazione del sistema ARThp presso il Fraunhofer ENAS è prevista per i prossimi mesi e sarà accom- pagnata da un programma di formazione e supporto tecnico per garantire un'integrazione ottimale.

Todi (PG), November 19, 2024 - ELES S.p.A., an innovative SME listed on Euronext Growth Milan and a worldwide provider of solutions for semiconductor device (integrated circuits IC) test with Safety and Mission Critical applications, is pleased to announce to support the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS based in Chemnitz, Germany, with an ARThp test system. This collaboration represents a significant step in our commitment to innovation and excellence in the field.

Currently, qualification and reliability testing of semiconductor devices need a traditional approach based on test standards and degradation models that are limited in test coverage and long lead time required for qualification. In response to these challenges, ELES Spa, since 2015 has been pursuing a new methodological approach called RETE (Reliability Embedded Test Engineering).

Fraunhofer ENAS is recognized as a holistic service provider for research and development in the area of semiconductor device reliability and testing. The institute provides its customers support, for example based on ML (Machine Learning) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithms, extending from integrated circuit design, modeling and simulation to test method development and end-of-life predictions.

Both partners intend to pool possible synergies on the basis of future intensive cooperation in order to innovate the semiconductor manufacturing process with a roadmap that can meet the demand for Semiconductor Chips in the various technology families.

In this context, the idea of establishing a unique European center for testing and reliability assessment in Chemnitz, incorporating the RETE approach, is being realized.

The Evolution of RETE methodology draws on stress and test data processed on ELES platforms, combined with powerful predictive algorithms developed in partnership with Fraunhofer ENAS. This innovative approach enables more accurate and rapid failure analysis related to failure events with known modes and mechanisms during testing.
